We often talk about hotel spa as accessories element, a “little more” luxury added to the contemporary design hotel. But as beautiful as it is, a spa would be nothing without the care that the hotel proposes. That’s why I want to introduce you to my favorite hotel spas and the inevitable care that make them so unusual. Tested and approved, or only dreamed by me, here is my selection of the best hotels care spa.

Rare products

At Hotel Plaza Athénée, we will be pampered in the Dior Institute through the ” L’Or de vie” care (120 mn – 490€), which uses exclusive product based on wine from the Yquem area. A miracle ingredient which makes your skin relaxed, rejuvenated and strengthened immediately. An additional reason to make a detour through the Avenue Montaigne is to see the life in gold!

It is a well known fact that sea breeze is perfect to relax. At Domaine de la Bretesche near La Baule, in Brittany, we discover these benefits in a sublime multicolored Spa. I crack up every time for the “Ritual of the Renaissance” massage, a massage with Elixir of candles (50 min – 90€), which combines hands, vanilla scents, tea tree and ginger for a unique moment of relaxation in a cool and soothing atmosphere.

Far from Brittany, the white sand bordering the most beautiful oceans are to be applied carefully to your fragile skin at “Six and Spa” at Le Six Hotel in Paris. A special “Grain de folie” scrub, based on sand, is proposed according to your skin. So , Havana or Seychelles? Unless, if you are like me, you might also cannot resist by the temptation of the soft sand of Hawaii!

Divine health

During my recent travels, I had the opportunity to test 3 incredible care. The first is just a stone’s throw from my home in St. Germain des Prés, at the Wellness Payot by Hotel Bel Ami. The full facial (90 min – 120€) uses the latest products “Les Collectrices” which offers incomparable comfort and skin repair.

It is the sweetness of milk and honey that will warm your tired body caused by the rain in London. This delicate and fresh treatment is proposed by Agua Spa at the Sanderson Hotel, located in the heart of the English capital. An extraordinary moment that I’m fond of and I am not ready to forget!

In Tunisia, I experienced the excitement of getting a massage by a set of four hands that takes away your pain and tension with lightness and precision. Healing landscapes

Sometimes we don’t need more than a breathtaking view and a calm and beautiful landscape to relax. So when a spa is installed in such place, you could feel that you are rejuvenated before even trying! That’s why I dream of several weeks off to Thailand to discover Banyan Tree Phuket, which contains one of the most beautiful spas in Asia, or to go to Athens, to Ananea spa at hotel Life Gallery, which overlooks the Parthenon. Fortunately, I still have the opportunity to test the spa in Iceland, the clinic-hotel-spa Blue lagoon where I admired the chaotic and wonderful Icelandic scenery while trying the “Wellness 3” package (60 mn – 115€), which offers a massage with essential oil and body scrub with the mud of the lagoon for a stimulating and fresh care.

Precious packages

Finally I will add to my selection, two packages that I simply loved. First the “Her Side” package of Side Hotel, Hamburg, Germany, which offers a 100% day of spa, with facials revitalizing care, exfoliation, massages and unlimited tea. (75 min of day care and one whole day access to the Spa – 145€).

My other discovery was the “ESPA at the g ‘, where there is a ” Spa, Dinner and a Movie ” package ( 55 minutes care, a dinner for two and a film – 110€) which I found original, for a cocooning evening with a fun, relaxing and memorable girlfriend in Ireland.
