Carmina Campus: when fashion is concerned about ethics

• 8 Jul, 2009 • Catégorie: Fashion and design

At a time when we all urge to change our ways in this society of consumption, some designers try to add their part of contribution. And it is the case of Ilaria Venturini Fendi. The Italian stylist is launching her brand Carmina Campus as a symbol of smart fashion ethic. The new signature is offering original handbags made from recycled materials. Thus, wood, textiles and metal are processed by Italian expert hands with any chemical ingredient. Respect of the environment doesn’t stop here, because Carmina Campus is also helping and supporting the penniless, by purchasing products issued from under-developed countries. Other than that, the brand has also tight relations with African NGOs in order to design unique and rare creations. Ilaria is representing her brand as a committed businesswoman as she puts a number on each piece that is issued from her workshops, as if it was a proof of her respecting the environment.

Address recommended by Eva Assayag, Pershing Hall (Paris 8th arrondissement).
