The May Fair London Welcomes Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood is obviously one of the best current directors. So, Hoosta Magazine grasped the opportunity to talk about him since he had chosen the May Fair hotel, in London, to shoot his movie, Hereafter. In this movie, Marie (Cécile de France), a French journalist who is faced to an earthquake, Marcus (George McLaren) a young London man who just lost his twin brother and George (Matt Damon) an American medium, they’re all haunted by death and by questions she brings. They meet in London and notably at the May Fair, where Marie stays to promote her last book. This 5-star hotel has a contemporary look which is worth the detour… Don’t waist your time and watch the movie!

Le Pradey: A Haute Couture Hotel

Nestled between the Eglise Saint-Roch and the Tuileries, the 4 star hotel Le Pradey is clearly the best surprise of this new year. Since it’s close to luxury shops, that fashion victims adore, especially during Fashion Weeks, the establishment has naturally entrusted a mission to two major Haute Couture fashion designers: decorate 6 rooms.

We bet you’ll never guess! The famous architect Vincent Bastie (he designed the Burgundy) has worked with Chantal Thomass and Hermès to customize hotel rooms. The 5th floor is in horor of Hermès, and the “Collectionneur” is the greatest example, with its horse plaid blanket, its stone wall, and its straw marquetry screen. We are totally fond of the “Explorateur” and its folding nomad furniture, this room is a pure invitation to travel.

But we have to confess, we are completely mad of the suites decorated by Chantal Thomass, and her store is just few steps away the Pradey hotel. For the Valentine’s Day, our best tip is to book the “Cabaret” Suite, its mischievously naughty spirit is a tribute to the Moulin Rouge. The room is simply incredible and exuberant: the way into the bathroom is via a huge heart-shaped alcove! And our very favorite is the plaid blanket which reminds lace underskirts of French Cancan dancers.

Finally, the “Opéra” Suite is dedicated to the Opéra Garnier dancers. Its soft tones pink and gray will remind your childhood dreams. The bathroom is worthy of a giant dollhouse with its shower head in hand shape, its bath heart-shaped not to mention the hand mirror hung on the wall. We are crazy about the tutu lamp and the doors of the closet adorned with music score and portraits of famous people, it’s really hard to leave without them. But, we are reasonable and we let them here, to find them back for another magic night. A hotel like no other…

On the Road of Wines From Bergerac
