The Quincy Hotel, Singapore : the dragon strikes back

Nestled on Orchard Road, the Quincy Hotel is a boutique hotel of a special kind. With its 108 decompartmentalized and coloured rooms, its view on Singapore and the pool ( which seems to flutter in the wind ) is breathtaking. The Quincy Hotel does not look like a hotel at first sight “all-inclusive”. Yet it is Singapore, one of the four “dragons” of Asia ( including Taïwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea ), which has got its first luxury boutique hotel with all inclusive!

Mr Chia Boon Kuah, the executive director of the hotel, is very proud : “ There’s nothing like it on Orchard Road !”. Indeed, in the Quincy you can enjoy three daily meals, free Wifi, but also a VIP arrival transfer by limousine from the airport during your stay. Don’t worry, everything is included in the price of your room ! A feat that really seems to distract the team of the hotel, especially with the experienced travellers, surprised by so many solicitudes.

Nevertheless, the Quincy is indeed a luxury hotel where the customers are not the same as in the chain hotels, where all-inclusive formulas attract a mass customers. In the Quincy, we sip a cocktail and take a dip in the pool ( those who have vertigo should refrain from approaching the glass wall ), we unearth the latest high-tech gadget to bring it as souvenir, or we take a photo in front of the majestic Merlion : the famous statue with a lion head and a fish body, symbol of Singapore.

A little bit more : The high-tech and greedy lobby with its round armchair stools where the bright red cushion looks like a delicious candy.

Hotel RE!: a retro hotel, yes, but a fun one!

Who said retro is synonymous with boring? Hotel RE! Singapore proves otherwise. Mixing pop culture from the 60’s to 70’s with retro furnishings, the hotel offers fun and colorful modern vision of the old or even the obsolete. We have lots of fun in this unique hotel, where everything seems alive and moving. A hotel where life makes sense, and where you can dare to behave like at home or with your friends.

The rooms are often fluorescent with a combination of colors that we wouldn’t dare putting at home such as the orange and silver, but the effect is so beautiful! On the fluorescent pink, green anise, yellow or purple walls, white silhouettes represent the greatest artists of the twentieth century: Marilyn Monroe, John Travolta in “Saturday Night Fever” and many others.

A spirit between cinema and music that is also found in the very “bling bling” Gold suite, in which James Bond watches over a complete golden furniture with clean lines. At the moment the package “RE!ndezvous” for a getaway with your girl friends. The program? Breakfast offered, a bottle of red wine in your room upon arrival, extended happy hour from 4pm to midnight at The RE! Wine bar, and a choice of 60min body massage, pedicure or manicure at two after a shopping trip with your mates!
