With 37 suites and villas, Le Sereno perfectly mixes luxury in its natural state and the relaxation of the Islands. The rooms are simple, smart and timeless, in an alternation of white and wood, where a few transparent white net curtains offer a romantic atmosphere.

For the gastronomy, Saint Barthélemy has simple pleasures and fresh quality products. Everyday, the fishermen of the island provide the hotel with fishes. Discover the Sereno bouillabaisse to taste the Mediterranean flavors, and the cooking in salt crust. The Saint Barths crayfish is also well-known. We can taste it with a Sereno Club salad. The shrimp tempura with a Teriyaki sauce and sesame is worth the trip !

A little extra : The pool of the hotel, at the edge of water. Perfect to dream under the palm-trees.

La Banane : tropical stopover in Saint Barths

In the French Antilles, in a coconut plantation, there is a secret and confidential hotel which the demanding and modern travelers adore. The reason ? We fast feel at home, with its 9 bungalows and private terraces. The name of this dream hotel … La Banane.

As a matter of interest, « La Banane » was in fact the first cabaret revue created by Jean-Marie Riviere, the promoter of the hotel. Emblematic figure of the Parisian nightlife and the French music-hall, he established and organized the Paradis Latin and the Alcazar in Paris. Today, the particularity of La Banane is this “big family” atmosphere, like in the cabaret companies.

We stay in La Banane to stroll among the hibiscus, frangipani trees, bougainvilleas or other jasmines, to have a tete-a-tete dinner under the stars, in the pool, to taste a mahi mahi tartare or a curried monkfish fricassee or to drink the Mojito Royal Fraise : the speciality of the bar of the hotel, the “Chandi’bar”.

Regarding the decoration, all the furniture has been made by the greatest modern designers. The bungalows notably have the name of visionary architects like Jean Prouvé, Mathieu Mategot, or Serge Mouille. The only thing that you have to do now is to decide what is your favorite bungalow. We like the “Pierre”, for its lovely pigeonhole.

A little extra : The breakfast with homemade exotic flavors jams ( banana-kiwi), the graceful hummingbirds in the garden, and the massages made in your room. Special mention for the African massage with bamboos.

Eden Rock Hotel: ultra luxury six-star hotel in St Barth!

Opt in for the “Rockstar” villa that has just opened, with private recording studio and dancing room.

If you want us to put your feet in the blue sparkling water, choose one of the “Garden Cottages”, located on the beach at Eden Rock. You will be close to the Sand Bar, the hotel’s restaurant which offers scrumptious fillets of mahi-mahi (local translucent fish flesh) and skewers lobster with watermelon.

Rates: from 490€ per night (VIP transfer from airport to hotel included). Minimum stay of 3 nights. Hotel is closed from 31 August to 11 October 2009.
