Nestled in the heart of an oasis of 17 hectares in northern Chile, the Hotel de Larache is a continuity of the architecture of nature. Clos Apalta Winery & Lodge: when Chile opens the doors of its vineyards …

Behind the vine, two majestic all wood and glass buildings stand, nestled in the hills overlooking the Colchagua Valley. Four small houses are distinguished by their roof. You have arrived at Clos Apalta Winery & Lodge, a winery in Chile awarded in 2008 by the U.S. magazine Wine Spectator for one of its vintages.

One area where technology is advanced and where customers become guests during an unforgettable getaway in one of the four “casitas” that bear the names of locally produced wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Carmenère). We particularly like the Casita Merlot for its spectacular bathroom, open on nature through large windows, as well as its contemporary colors in shades of chocolate and beige.

La Casita Petit Verdot is warm and alive, through orange and red tones distilled on the pillows’, bedspread and other curtains. The lines are clean even in the common areas, either at the spa or restaurant. The decoration is put on the art of selecting curios, tables and lamps (some are twisted, others coppered). The best is the pool and the mini-waterfall along one wall of rough granite overlooking the entire valley. A place definitely amazing.
