Color Design Hotel: rainbow hotel in Paris
• 26 Jan, 2009 • Catégorie: One hotel a day, Paris •The 12th arrondissement of Paris is a bustling, popular and versatile area where design hotels are rare. No wonder that one of them, opened recently, is trying to be noticed. Staged (and colored) that begins in the street: the white sleek minimalist facade suggests large fluorescent pink and blue vases behind the windows. As its name suggests, the Color Design Hotel is very colourful.

Inside, the interior design keeps going: a colorful mosaic attracts the eye to guide us to the reception. This is only the first surprise in a long series as the discovery of the entire hotel dressed in dazzling colors, bright and amazing. In the corridors, it sparkles, it flashes through the giant neon providing a deliciously futuristic atmosphere. It is expected to cross Leeloo, the divine female hero of the film by Luc Besson: The Fifth Element.

On each floor one color is represented. Four color dress all the 46 rooms. Curtains, drapes, furniture are adorned with purple pink, yellow, orange, turquoise blue, green. Even the small mosaic tiles of the bathrooms are the same color than the floor. A warm and welcoming hotel which is worth the trip because of the breakfast room with arched stone walls. This is an essential address for those who want to live up their stay in Paris.

Prices: 140€ the single room and 170€ for the double room.
