CRU Restaurant: I’ll eat you alive!
• 20 Nov, 2009 • Catégorie: Restaurant •For those who are still afraid to eat raw everything in their plate, take some advice from the young Chef Jérémie Rosenbois trained at Ducasse’s. At the new restaurant CRU in the village of Saint-Paul, we discover a raw or cooked a la plancha cuisine. Carpaccio of duck breast with porcini mushrooms and hazelnut oil, veal tartare with ginger or cuttlefish both soybeans, the menu of the CRU is in two words: originality and seasonality. We adopt without question the healthy and relatively affordable cuisine. To test: the chestnut tiramisu.

Open every day except Sunday and Monday from 12:30pm to 2:30pm and from 7:30pm to 11pm. Wine bar open all day. Set lunches at 19€.

Address recommended by Xavier Moraga, Gavarni Hotel (Paris 16th arrondissement).

Hats off to the chef. Although timid about the idea of uncooked foods, I was pleasantly surprised to find how well ginger goes with meals. We will be visiting often to see what’s cooking (or not) at the Restaurant Cru.
