Favorite hotels of two women writers
• 24 Nov, 2009 • Catégorie: Hotels and stars • Eliette Abecassis, revealed to the public through her work “Qumran” on the Jewish world has spent three years of her life between Jerusalem and Qumran to gather information for her novel. Today (and unsurprisingly), her favorite hotel is the King David in Jerusalem:
“I like going to the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, to find myself in another time, in a timeless place.”

Claudie Gallay, recently awarded with the Grand Prize of literary by ELLE readers it in the fiction category for her work « Les déferlantes », especially likes the Cotentin, the Norman countryside, where the heroine of her book learns to live, shorn of her love. She stays at the Hotel l’Erguillière, where she travels as much as she makes traveling her readers through her work.
“I like the atmosphere of the Erguillère, quiet, cozy, facing the raging sea. It is warm before the fire. Around a few boats, seals, horses and wild moorland. “
