George Condo exhibition: the evil child of pop art
• 10 Jul, 2009 • Catégorie: Culture •Until August 31st 2009, the Maillol museum is displaying the work of the great New Yorker artist George Condo, a painter and sculptor that has his very own style. His philosophy? To be inspired by the greatest who lived before him. Thus, the creations by Manet, Picasso, Bacon or Dali are revised and remade by the American artist. Condo has always been traveling between America and Europe. After working in Andy Warhol’s Factory, Condo found his own style and incorporated his culture in order to rethink the old continent’s heritage. He adds is own personal touch in each of his pieces and transforms the feeling of “déjà vu” into a unique experience. An exhibition that no Pop Art fan should miss.

Open everyday, except on Tuesdays, from 11am to 6pm.
Rates: from 6 to 8€.
Address recommended by Isabelle Lozano, Hotel Apostrophe (Paris 6th arrondissement).
