The Ravesi is an hotel that few travelers know. Located on Bondi Beach with the Pacific horizon as the eye can see from the terrace room overlooking the bay, the Ravesis is a mecca of the kitchen “donw under” and also a bar where the Australian stars meet chic surfers. If the bar with large windows open to the incessant movement of young women in bikinis tanned, muscular surfers and chic mothers walking a happy offspring is a place ultra known, the hotel above is much more discreet and there are many who have never realized it existed.

Built in 1914 by the brothers Ravesi, migrants from Italy, the building was bought in 1986 and began a complete renovation. The artist and designer Dane Van Bree created a unique atmosphere for each of 12 rooms and suites of this unique boutique hotel on Bondi Beach.

Just down the hotel, Campbell Parade along the bay by accumulating fashion shops, delicious restaurants and coffee supercool. While the paradox of Bondi Beach is there, in this mixture of traders from the City who barter their costumes at dusk ties against a combination of surfing, women stylish and elegant the hairstyles and dresses treated siglées, travellers from all over the world to hair hirsutes sun burned, tattooed and bermuda, sublime girls barely covered with tiny bikinis, artists nonchalants and grandparents débonnaires. The rooms are large, Ravesi, and most have a terrace overlooking the ocean, subtly hidden by a wall that allows an intimacy shared only with the blue sky and spray up to the floors pushed by the wind.

The best time to go is in March / April or October / November. In july it’s too cold and too hot in December.
