Hotel Distrito Capital: design and comfort under the Mexican sun
• 29 May, 2009 • Catégorie: Mexico, One hotel a day •Immersed in the burning and confluent atmosphere of Mexico, Hotel Distrito Capital, the newest member of Habita group revisits the luxury standards offering to globe-trotters a vision of an innovative and imaginative comfort. The businessmen from around the world seem to have found a shelter in this ivory exclusive Mexican tower where modernism and the avant-garde chic meet.

Eclecticism starts upon entrance with the bold marriage of stunning antique pieces of art inspired by contemporary artist Thomas Glassford. The French designer Joseph Dirand has resurrected, in the antrum of the sophistication, the pomp of Mexican modernism of the 50s. The contrast of white and gray colors enhanced by the horizontal and vertical lines are sufficient to create a sense of elegance and comfort. Antique and modern furniture lay in a chiaroscuro décor deploying a variety of materials (coal, dark wood, crystal). Small monochromatic world, the rooms are based on the tangible balance of modernism and classicism. Some fragments of the past are carefully distilled to every nook and vintage furniture filling the room.

Lounge, pool, terraces and projection room are all interconnected public spaces. On the 5th floor, the Chef invites you to his table for a gastronomic journey in the air. Real window overlooking an urban world teeming with activity, the restaurant offers you the expertise of chef Enrique Olvera. On the menu: vegetarian hamburgers and langoustine enchiladas promise of unique culinary emotions!

Rates: from 109€ for a twin superior room and up to 744€ for the royal suite.
