Hotel Le Walt: Left Bank Paris refinement
• 16 Oct, 2009 • Catégorie: One hotel a day, Paris •Located between the Eiffel Tower and the Esplanade des Invalides, the Walt is a former two-star hotel which has been completely demolished and then rebuilt by the Architectes du Bâtiment de France. Boutique hotel with charm and class, this new 4 star hotel is an invitation to taste the lifestyle of Paris in a confidential, chic and timeless setting.

With its 25 unique rooms furnished and decorated by Paul Sartres (La Mamounia – Marrakesh), The Walt provides a retained contemporary style where subtle refinement is revealed in a mix of soft colors and pink curtains. Each room displays the total or partial reproduction of a painting from the Louvre, conducted by the Cabinet Van Rijn, and placed in the headboard.

The zebra or leopard print (travel souvenir for the designer) are set quietly in a detail of each painting in the scarf or blouse of a lady, or the hat of a gentleman. We admire the combination of warm and noble materials: African semi solid oak wooden floor, wood furniture stained beech honey color, combination of wood, glass and stainless steel in the bathroom … A refinement without limits, worthy of being in Paris.

Rates: from 200€ classic room, 350€ deluxe room.
