It has been a long time you haven’t been to Val d’Isere, a little classic right? Well, it’s time to go back! The Hotel Ormelune (which we have talked about last September) has just opened its doors. We love his offbeat, fun and arty style, while keeping the enthusiasm of mountain hotels.

The 46 rooms are adorned with tart tones and soft lights. The objective of the team of the hotel? Reviving these French Alps and staying in the mountain with a fun and offbeat decoration.  The evidence with the rolling sheep found in the chimney lounge, totally crazy, dyed in shades of pink grunge or in more sober versions, like white or black. Old photos of Val d’Isere are reinterpreted over the hotel, where we also find ski and travel trunks used at that time.

But the heroines of the Hotel Ormelune are cows, tagged by 4 contemporary artists (JonOne, Alon, Psykoze et Mark Newton). Intriguing, they entice and attract visitors. Each has a special charm as one of them, with their green parkling, mischievous eyes, or another shows without shyness its beautiful orange skin, all tanned! Hotel Ormelune permits to have fun while staying in great comfort and well-being.

Rates:
Season (03/12/09 to 19/12/09, 09/01/10 to 06/02/10, 27/03/10 to 09/05/10): from 180€ small room, to 400€ the XL room with children under 15 year-old.
High season (19/12/09 to 09/01/10, 06/02/10 to 27/03/10): from 240€ small room to 460€ the XL room with children under 15 year-old.
