Hotel Yasmin: magic design in Prague

• 5 Dec, 2008 • Catégorie: Czech Republic, One hotel a day

The Hotel Yasmin in Prague is a special hotel, with a sparkling design. This 4-star boutique hotel, located a stone’s throw from Wenceslas Square in the heart of the city, has staked its entire decoration on a single letter: the “Y”! The logo, which looks like a flower, a jasmine flower, is from the lobby to the rooms, from the restaurant “Noodles” to the hotel bar. The lighting of the Hotel Yasmin is surprising and unique. The chandeliers look like beautiful silver champagne bubbles hung from the ceiling.

The decoration of the 198 rooms (including 11 penthouse suites) has been entrusted to two women designers, Barbora Korpilova and Stanislava Svobodova. Inspired by Asia, the white furniture have the look of female bodies, matching perfectly the selected materials for the rooms. Between velvet and skin, beige and pale yellow, the scene of the Hotel Yasmin, enhanced by the brightness coming from the large windows, offers a relaxing and cozy atmosphere. In the bathrooms, the Scandinavian minimalism is required: little furniture and accessories, mosaic tiles for a black satin atmosphere.

The hotel restaurant offers different types of pasta, seasoned with Italian or Thai. With its futuristic and crazy design, red-orange fur columns, extravagant shape walls, metal ball on the ceiling for lighting, the “Noodles” is just as magical as the hotel.

To spend the night at the Hotel Yasmin, from 260 to 340 €.
