Kandinsky exhibition: some light shed on the master of abstract art
• 8 Jul, 2009 • Catégorie: Culture •The Georges Pompidou Center is unrolling the red carpet for the great Vassili Kandinsky, whose inspiration has disrupted the course of the 20th century. Until August 10th 2009, you will be able to admire this splendid exhibition, retracing chronologically the work of abstract art founder. About one hundred paintings but also watercolor drawings are displayed meticulously so that each visitor can feel the intensity of each color. Along his career, Kandinsky had gone from impressionism to figural art, the natural and realistic lines giving their place to colors and geometry. On the paintings, yellow triangles are interacting with blue circles. The talent of the painter is well exhibited through each shape in order to captivate the surprised visitor. Kandinsky created these pieces of art; it is up to you to interpret them. In this conversation between you and the artist, there is no wrong answer this is the magic of abstract art!

George Pompidou Center is open everyday from 11am to 11pm. Closed on Tuesdays.
