La Posada del Faro: relaxing at the end of the world

Sometimes, holiday is synonymous with doing nothing. This is what the hotel La Posada del Faro offers, not to provide any effort, just have fun. Surrounded by sand dunes with the sea and horizon, La Posada del Faro has only 15 rooms, all different. At 30km from the posh resort in Uruguay, Punta del Este, the hotel offers a comfortable retirement for modern urban travelers.

With its cozy and minimalist ambiance, the rooms display a spirit lounge with sofas, cushions and carpet. All have the characteristic of being entirely white, dotted with turquoise and red on some fabrics. All featuring private terrace overlooking the ocean and nature.

You may take your breakfast facing the sea, on the terrace of your room before joining the pool or beach to read while waiting for a caipirina. The Jose Ignacio Peninsula is famous for its local life, composed of multiple restaurants and bars. Activities that will allow you to tell upon your return that you did not only sleep and sunbathe.
