Mamilla Hotel : for living the jerusalemite night
• 10 Dec, 2009 • Catégorie: Israel, One hotel a day •Symbol of a city who is modernized during its construction, the Mamilla Hotel, 194 rooms, is the latest hotel shop opened in Jersalem in last June. With its incredible architecture thought by Moshe Safdie, the hotel is a retro-modern work that fits perfectly with old buildings surrounding it.

His strength? Its brightness due largely to the use of Jerusalem stone is totally recognizable for its so special color. A natural glow that contrasts perfectly with contemporary furniture including headborads of black metal, and bathrooms in high-technology which can be modulated in needs.

A sensitive design wanted by Piero Lissoni: ” I spend over 50% of my time in hotels. I am very attentive to details: fresh fruit, smell, flowers… These are simple things but not superficial. That’s what I tried to make the Mamilla.” In addition to being a ”home sweet home”, the hotel has already boasted of being the new meeting place of young Jerusalemite. With the chic and trendy piano bar, people have parties with friends before rejoining the brewery on the roof for dinner overlooking the ramparts of the old city. Magic.

Rates: from 217€ for a studio room, 291€ for an executive room, 440€ for the rest Mamilla and 727€ for the Residence Suite.
