Museum of Romantic Life in Paris
• 2 Mar, 2010 • Catégorie: Culture •The Museum of Romantic Life, more famous for the name of the hotel Scheffer-Renan, is located in the heart of New Athens, Paris 9th district, the historic district of Parisian artists. Since 1987, the hotel was transformed into a temple of Romanticism, in the image of a very romantic building itself: a flower paved driveway leads to a pavilion 1830 in Italian, a charming home, a small quiet garden and a greenhouse for tea, a rise in total harmony with the romantic spirit of the capital.

Are exposed on the ground floor the souvenirs, the jewelry, the furniture George Sand, neighbor and friend of the owner Ary Scheffer. Upstairs, you can discover the works of him and his contemporaries. From the 2nd March to the 11th July 2010, the museum hosts a temporary collection in honor of Frédéric Chopin, “The Blue Note”, a tribute to his years in Paris.

The Museum of Romantic Life is open daily (except Mondays and holidays) from 10am to 6pm. The tearoom of the museum opens from mid-April to mid-October, Tuesday to Sunday from 11:30am to 5:30pm. Access free to museum except for temporary exhibitions (between 3.30€ and 9€).
