New hotel in Paris: the luxury poetics of Burgundy
• 10 Sep, 2010 • Catégorie: Gourmet, One hotel a day, Paris, Romantic •Just steps away from the Place de la Madeleine, at the corner of Rue Saint-Honore, lies one of the beautiful places in Paris. The Burgundy, 59 rooms and suites, is a model of good taste to the French, where luxury and art come together at the intersection of feminine and masculine atmosphere. Exclusive and cozy, the new 5 star hotel in the capital invited itself into the exclusive club of luxury hotels in Paris. Finding inspiration in poetic history (the liquidation and division of property that belonged to the French poet Charles Baudelaire took place here), the Burgundy offers an aesthetic delight of the more contemporary style.

The bright Burgundy dares all agreements for its first outlet in the world. The rooms are adorned with bright pink, beige satin, blue and lime green, admirable and admired by the crowd of suitors: Vaughan lights, seats by Pierre Frey, bedside tables by Prorada, Nobilis fabrics, Jane Churchill, Osborne & Little. The materials are soft (cotton sheets and satin, soft carpet), the materials are pure (crystal, glass, chrome, marble). The elegant bathrooms are equipped with bath or multijet shower, putting the finishing touches to this beautiful dress. The charm works, luxury, calm and lightness open the ball.

Poetics, the Burgundy cultivates the love of art with the passion of its owner, who told the French painter and sculptor, Guy de Rougemont, the decoration of the ground floor. It centers around a sculpture in Carrara marble representing the curves of a woman whose shadow continues in a brass wire on the ground. A wire leading to the restaurant and its romantic patio to enjoy the cuisine of Pierre Daret, former Grand Véfour.

The seductive power of Burgundy does not stop there. Behind flicker is the bar where the Baudelaire fifty varieties of cognac are presented like jewels of fine jewelry in showcases limited edition bottles. Look up and you will discover the work of Marco del Re, representing the four characters of Baudelaire’s The Flowers of Evil. When poetry woos luxury, everything becomes possible.

Rates: From 530€ the standard room to 1800€ the suite.
Breakfast: a spa with a luxurious pool 250m2 (Iris Ceramica and gold Bisazza), sauna, steam room and two massage rooms (one single and one double for couples).
