Chef Jean-Marc Lemmery has already conquered his audience with a simple but careful cuisine: back of wild turbot with celeriac mousseline and brown juice for example, not to mention the wine list, much appreciated. Bistronomy relaxed and inventive with marriages of flavors and sensations, hushed setting, service and very nice smile, what to spend an intimate and delicious December 31st in Saint Germain des Pres.

Bistrot de l’Alycastre – Left Bank bistronomy

This was the KOH nocturnal haunt of Parisian coolness. Here it is remixed with the 2009 sauce by other night birds: Andre (the graffiti), Lionel & co, also owner of Hotel Amour. Huge volumes with stucco, mirrors and trim, dishes air reciting more or less traditional, but essential is not here. This is the restaurant where everyone is now in Paris to see and be seen.
La Fidelite – Hype brasserie
12, rue de la Precision 75010 Paris
01 4 7 70 1 9 34
Menu at 55€, DJs and party until dawn.

This is the homing pigeon of Thai cuisine. He was known at the Blue Elephant in the 11th, then at the Benkiraï in St. Tropez. He launched a top level table associated with greedy Eddie Mitchell. The neo-chic 1960’s design provides three levels. The spicy flavors are associated with great products (including the delicious shrimp Obsibue – the new caviar of the sea). The wines are in tone, desserts follow too. Elected best foreign chef of the year by the Pudlo guide.
Oth Sombath – Thai gourmet
184, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore 75008 Paris
01 42 56 55 55.
Menu at 100€ (without drinks)

Hidden deep in a courtyard, this restaurant has everything of a surprise box. We eat rather good food in a traditional revisited spirit (cucumber with cream cheese, beef cheek bourguignon way, chocolate mousse …). But we go first to walk the halls that follow such parts of an apartment for the very deco baroque house of friends to play ping-pong between the pear and cheese, and especially to discover the secret room! Hint: it must look beyond the mirror …
Derriere – kitchen and addictions
69, rue des Gravilliers 75003 Paris
01 44 61 91 95
Menu at 110€
