For a Road Trip to Barcelona, Stop at the Ohla Hotel

• 27 Jan, 2012 • Catégorie: One hotel a day, Southern Europe, Spain, Top stories

Have you planned a business travel in Barcelona soon? Right on time, Hoosta Magazine has just spotted the perfect hotel to stay over there : the Ohla! Settled in a main street of the city, this establishment is really complete, either for a trip with your friend or an important seminar. Open since a year, it has been built on the former palace of the first Count of Barcelona, it displays now a neoclassic front, designed by the sculptor Frédéric Amat. A thousand ceramic eyes adorn this 5 star hotel front wall.

The interior decoration is very avant-garde. The 74 rooms look quite masculine, they display a minimalist design mostly black and white, with oak furniture, worthy of the most beautiful New York lofts. Here, spaces blend together: the panoramic shower, surrounded by picture windows, is in the middle of the bedroom. Advantage: rooms have an amazing sight on the Via Laietena, or on the pedestrianized Comtal street!

Beyond the frenetic rhythm of the city, find a spectacular terrace offering a brand new vision. Add a gorgeous swimming-pool, surrounded by long chair and you get the perfect cocktail! With its Spanish dandy style, we could even find an Antonio Banderas quietly sit on a Chill out couch, a glass in a hand. A hotel for gentlemen which got sex-appeal.

The Big Bonus: The Michelin starred chef Xavier Franco cooks a traditional food at the Saüc restaurant. After a hard seminar day, find the strength for Barcelona nights in the Born and Barceloneta districts, muy caliente. The editorial staff of Hoosta Magazine wish you a good travel!
