Pucci: psychedelic prints for this summer!
• 18 Aug, 2009 • Catégorie: Fashion - design •Emilio Pucci, “the prince of prints” owes his reputation to chance. After making stretchy a ski combination with coloured prints, his piece is spotted on the skiing runs and by the photographer of the Harper’s Bazaar who puts it on the cover page of the magazine. We are in the 50’s and Pucci decides to take over the jet set and glamour world with his relentless use of colours. As the very symbol of Italian luxury, his brand will encounter such success that the he will start to make swimming suits, silk scarves, light summer dresses, shoes and leather goods. After fading away a little in the 90’s, the brand made a comeback in 2003 with Christian Lacroix.
