Scandic Front Hotel: Copenhagen is beautiful

• 4 Jun, 2009 • Catégorie: Denmark, One hotel a day

The Scandic Front Hotel in Copenhagen is more of a British trendy design hotel than the minimalistic and relaxed Scandinavian style. Unpredictability from this hotel that’s dominating the old city and port, in this picturesque area where water runs under the colored houses and shops from times beyond.

A hotel that reminds the Night Hotel in New-York, with a very black-is-beautiful design. The rooms are large and the design is ice cold. Nevertheless, the hotel has got a very peaceful side. The bed head is made of black with two crossed light beams forming an A, a black padded chair, black candles, a nice harmony amongst all the elements decorating the rooms.

Since the Scandic Front Hotel is mostly destined to young people, it is a bit noisy (we have to admit) and really reminds of city outings. The bar is also very interesting: drink a smooth cocktail on the bright pink sofas, and leave a note on the Guest Wall. Comments, farewells, or meaningless drawings, freedom of speech!

Rates: from 236€ per night.
