Sixty Hotel: a virtual and fashionable paradise on the Adriatic Sea
• 12 Jun, 2009 • Catégorie: Italy, One hotel a day •Located in the trendy heart of Italy, the Sixty Hotel, created by the Miss Sixty group, has become, just like the clothing brand, the Mecca of the new pop and glamorous generation. Funky colors, modern interior design, and uncommon materials are the founding elements of this unprecedented hotel, combining hybrid technologies and the latest fashion trends. Leaded by its director Wichy Hassan, around 30 inspired artists gave the hotel a 70’s look, with all its originality.

On the front of the building, strange windows in ecliptic forms look like small eyes that are watching over the city. The main hall delivers a myriad of bastions depicting the latest trends, each of them structured in a three-dimensional frame. Walls made of polished concrete, curved and groovy furniture, all displayed in a artificially lighted surface. The rooms have more of a vintage and glamorous design, in a clash of colors, where lie elements of art pieces. On the walls, a written sign that push the visitor to investigate in this human sized Cluedo!

A fun and unusual experience, thanks to the web cams in each room, where residents can keep in touch in all intimacy. Promoting the idea of a “social hotel” that’s attracting more people seems to be the audacious challenge for Wichy Hassan. Like a virtual crossroad, the Sixty Hotel is a low cost and unique meeting point.

Rates: from 120€ for a classic room to 270€ for a superior full board.
