In the shadow of young girls in flower
• 29 Oct, 2009 • Catégorie: Restaurant • Sous Les Cerisiers is my favorite address of the moment. At the origin of this unique place : Sakura Franck, a female Chef, Japanese originally offering revisited culinary creations from her country, so aesthetic and decadent. The venue, designed by the firm Ralston & Bau, is divided into two spaces. One symbolizes the darkness, the other the light. Perceptible differences can be seen in lighting and furniture. I like the traditional seats composed of 70% of silk and 30% of Japanese paper, really comfortable and conducive to tasting. To discover: sushi foie gras miso and steamed bream with cherry blossoms.
Original and Zen, the restaurant Sous Les Cerisiers is a hymn to a very special Japanese tradition: to picnic every night in Japan under the cherry blossoms from March to early April. A romantic ambience that is felt in this unexpected place, a sort of celestial bull, however close to Montparnasse. The best? Participate in a cooking workshops Japanese, Thai or wok, by Sakura (from 100€ for a class).

Open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. Closed in August. Average Ticket: 60-70€.

Address recommended by Isabelle Lozano, Apostrophe Hotel (Paris 6th arrondissement).
