Stroom Rotterdam Hotel: it’s all about the bathroom

• 11 Dec, 2008 • Catégorie: Netherlands, One hotel a day

Want to be surprised by a hotel? Choose the Stroom Rotterdam Hotel, in Rotterdam. The hotel is amazingly avant-garde and offers an colourful and light approach to contemporary hospitality. The philosophy? In a hotel, we spend much of our time in the bathroom. This is why the hotel invites us to enter our room by … the bathroom!

We’re thrilled about this concept. The each 18 studios have their XL bathtub and shower for two persons, all decorated with an iPod graciously provided by the hotel to relax in music. On the first floor, the bed is in XL format too. The design is white and minimalist which go directly to basics. Our favourite? Taking a bath in the dark under a rain of stars. Does this place can still be called a hotel…?

In the evening, the Stroom Rotterdam Hotel transforms into a trendy place with the lounge, pop and colourful bar. Above the bar, 360 mirrors are hung so you can have a look at the rest of the room from time to time. For lunch or dinner, the hotel’s restaurant, Kitchen, is also highly recommended by the regulars. What else could you wish for?

Price: from 160€ to 200€ for a classic studio, and from 250€ to 350€ for a vide studio (duplex studio).
