The Dune Hotel : green hotel in South of India

Between Chennai and Pondichéry, in a 15 ha area on Coromandel Coast in the state of Tamil Nadu, the Dune Hotel, a chic bohemian ecological hotel. The Dune Hotel was born after the long journey around the world of its owner Dimitri Klein, who eventually settled in South India, the land of maharajas and Mahabalipuram temples. The Dune Hotel advocates a responsible tourism, which involves protecting the beautiful nature of the area. Solar panels and wind turbines are the main sources of energy and the gourmet restaurant gets supplies from the biological farm of the hotel.

The Dune Hotel is also a center of humanitarian activities, such as the “Children of the world India”  catering school, which is meant to train the teenage victims of the tsunami to work in the hotel business. The Dune Hotel is also conducive to meditation and to communion of body and mind with nature. It’ll make you keen on discovering a new culture and new ways of life.

The landscape seems straight out of an old master: vivid and harmonizing colors highlighted by the frenzy of artists, huts lost within palm trees and flowers on the edge of the water, deckchairs facing the light green swimming pool. The Dune Hotel is a contemporary temple dedicated to rest and relaxation. Rest, recharge, revive!
