The Meurice Hotel: directors’ favourite place to shoot a movie?

The Parisian Palace has often hosted historic or romantic movie scenes. Two movies have recently been shot behind its walls. Let’s have a peak.

Notre univers impitoyable, by Léa Frazer (2007)
A couple (Alice Taglioni and Jocelyn Quivrin) is living the perfect love life. They are young, beautiful, and are both executives in a business law firm. However their relationship turns into a nightmare when their boss tells them that he is looking for a new associate. What seemed to be a perfect life is then transformed into a battle to get the promotion.


Female agents, by Jean-Paul Salomé (2008)
Sophie Marceau, Julie Depardieu and Marie Gillain are starring in this movie, and go back in time to World War two, during the French Resistance. Their mission? To kill colonel Heinrich, the expert in Nazi spies. Silent women that will then become heroines.

    I always enjoy discovering famous hotel in Paris by those movies. Even I don’t really understand the language, pictures are amazing!!!It makes me wishe that some day I will stay for a night at the Meurice !!!
