The Purificadora, between historical tradition and ultra design

• 1 Jul, 2008 • Catégorie: Historical getaway

This old building of the nineteenth century, once a plant for water purification, was converted into a luxury hotel in the sumptuous interior design. Located adjacent to the church of San Francisco, the hotel La Purificadora is the latest project of Carlos Couturier, a hotelier who has any creative relied on the purity of the line style and interior design.

The office of renowned architect Ricardo Legorreta gave a new face in this old building that now shades black and white highlighting materials used in the careful renovation: aged wood, stone home, onyx brilliant, slabs tailor-made … Although minimalist decor exudes luxury and incorporates decorative elements designed based bottles and shards of glass. The result is literally surprising.

The 26 rooms and suites are clearly contemporary-style modernist, complete equipment and present, as well as spectacular views over the city of Puebla, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. All were thought to offer a more pleasant stay from a scene midway between tradition and modernity. Guests will doubtless be seduced by the comfort room but also luxurious facilities.

On the roof, is a beautiful pool of 30 meters, and ground-driven, a succulent restaurant. Similarly, the institution provides a patio, a library and an extensive wine cellar. Within the hotel, entertainment and relaxation are clearly the appointment.

The purificadora hotel enjoys a unique location in the historic centre of the colonial city of Puebla. Halfway between the capital of Mexico and Oaxaca, Puebla is known for its many churches. According to say, there would be one for each day of the year!
