The Zetter Hotel: an urban hostel in Big Ben’s country

• 15 Jun, 2009 • Catégorie: One hotel a day, United Kingdom

Located in the outskirts of the chic Soho and of the swarming City, The Zetter hotel was an old warehouse but since its renovation, it is about to become legendary for the Clerkenwell nomads. Brought to life by the genius of the MCBane cabinet designers, The Zetter is the result of a contradictory and rash style of art, combining the classic heritage of the english elegance and modern and audacious elements.

Right in the center of a monumental atrium, the lobby is characterized by circular shapes and unusual colors orange and turquoise. Under the flaming pink Murano ceiling light, the lofty spiral staircase has glassed walls, where a natural and smooth light penetrates. Panels with printed patters and strange ceramics cover the hybrid decor where a retro-chic and a funky design are confronted. The rooms are true refuges where comfort meets high technology where dominating colors are subtle contrasts between the clear and pure white and the other strong colors. Old furniture and genuine duck down pillows drown you a maximum of comfort.

An irresistible stop for the midnight lovers, the very classy Zetter restaurant will draw you in an unusual universe where the vintage furniture cohabits with a traditional design. The chef serves seasonal products in dishes in order to make you discover the rich and varied Mediterranean flavors.

Rates: from 395€ for a GUEST room and 923€ for a Roof Top Studio Deluxe.
