Tilsitt Etoile Hotel: romance on the Champs-Elysees
• 30 Oct, 2009 • Catégorie: One hotel a day, Paris, Romantic •“Aux Champs-Elysees …” sang lovingly Joe Dassin. A song that helped the reputation of the most beautiful avenue that has since become the playground of tourists worldwide. Whether it is the shop in the luxury shops or watch the amazing Christmas lights, the Champs still reserve some nice surprises for the romantic travelers. As proof, this secret and intimate address, between avenue Mac Mahon and the avenue Wagram, which hosts the love weekends of Parisians and non-Parisians.

Designed by the interior designer Valerie Manoil the Tilsitt Etoile is modern in its structure but relatively nostalgic in its choice of furnishings and colors. We speak here of harmonies of red raspberry, eggplant and olive, chocolate and gray-blue. Delicate shades cohabiting with furniture colored in chalk from Blanc d’Ivoire.

Public areas are warm and friendly. We really liked the breakfast room, vaulted with an intimate lighting. It is home to colorful paintings (available to buy) by British artist Clare Vavery. Of the 38 rooms that the hotel has some overlook the mini-patio, fountain and the large pebbles shaped totem. An address that plays on several topics at once: zen, urban and romantic. The perfect mix for an unforgettable stay at two.

Rates: from 125 €.
