Toraya: poetic Japanese delicacies

• 29 May, 2009 • Catégorie: Gourmet

Toraya is not a bakery, it is above all poetry in French and Japanese. Cherry Delight or “Sakura Mochi” Banks in the spring or “Shin Haru no Kawazoi” as sweet to say as to eat. For 25 years now, Toraya makes our head spins with its “Wagasi” from the Land of the Rising Sun. “Wagashi” means Japanese traditional pastry. The ingredients used are azuki, sugar, rice and wheat flour and agar-agar. Low-cab, high fibber and delicate to the eye! Why resisting?

Address recommended by Paul Bogaert, Hotel Le Relais Saint-Honoré (Paris 1st arrondissement).
